Make and bake bread in one
If the thought of making bread from scratch makes you nervous, this is the tool for you. Our ceramic bread mixing bowl with lid is your secret to bread baking success. Just fit to our 4.3 L or 4.8 L tilt-head stand mixer, and you can mix, knead, proof and bake dough, all in one.
Bake craft-quality bread at home
Wish you could make bread from your own kitchen and get it right, every time? This bread mixing bowl with baking lid from KitchenAid is the ideal solution. It’s designed to be easy to use and takes care of every step in the cooking process.
Put it on your stand mixer for mixing and kneading, leave the dough in the bowl to proof, then pop it straight into the oven. The lid traps steam when baking — just like a traditional steam oven — and the ceramic bowl retains and delivers even heat throughout the baking process, giving every loaf a golden, crispy crust and thorough bake. Heaven.
Designed for easy cleaning
Once you’ve finished baking your loaf, cleaning up couldn’t be easier! Both the ceramic bread bowl and lid can be washed in the top or bottom rack of your dishwasher, or in warm soapy water. If you wash by hand, just make sure to rinse them well and dry thoroughly. Then, they’re all ready for next time you want a beautiful loaf.
Beautiful, strong and built to last
The titanium-reinforced ceramic bowl not only looks good, but resists chipping, cracking, crazing, and is backed by a 5-year no-chip limited guarantee.
You can confidently put it in the freezer, microwave, dishwasher and oven (up to 260°C). So, along with making bread, you can use it for other cooking tasks, eg, to soften butter, temper chocolate, and harden or cool ingredients – all in a single bowl.
Fits to your KitchenAid tilt-head stand mixer
The bread bowl fits on your 4.3 L or 4.8 L stand mixer in exactly the same way as any other mixing bowl. It has a 4.7 L capacity, so you can process up to 525 g of flour to make a standard to large loaf of around 450 - 680 g.
And once you’ve started the breadmaking fun, it soon gets addictive. Oh yes. You can play around with all sorts of different recipes and ingredients. From a classic white loaf or wholemeal farmhouse, to focaccia, rye bread or brioche. You’ll find a bread recipe for every occasion and to complement every meal.
